Radiation Oncologist Opportunity at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission

Location: Shawnee Mission, Kansas City

Position: Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Radiation Oncologist with subspecialty interest in Breast, CNS, and GI malignancies

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Radiation Oncologist to join our dynamic, patient-centered radiation oncology team. The ideal candidate would have a subspecialty interest in breast, gastrointestinal, and central nervous system malignancies, as these will be the primary focus of this position. The new physician should also be comfortable seeing a variety of additional tumor sites as needed. Experience or interest in gynecologic HDR brachytherapy for backup coverage is preferable but not mandatory.

We are looking for a collegial, team-oriented physician who demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with referring physicians, medical and surgical oncologists, and the broader multidisciplinary care team is essential. The ideal candidate will be approachable, responsive, and committed to fostering a positive, supportive work environment for staff, colleagues, and patients alike.

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, located in Merriam, Kansas, is a 504-bed acute care hospital serving the Kansas City metro area, particularly Johnson County.
