Psychiatrist Opportunity – Shawnee Mission
AdventHealth in Kansas City is looking for a full-time Psychiatrist to join our 42-bed inpatient Behavioral Health program, large intensive Outpatient Program and psychiatric consultation services. This psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients across the full spectrum of mental health conditions in the outpatient setting. Our psychiatrists provide mental health, substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment for voluntary adult and senior inpatients. We also offer a robust ECT program for inpatients and outpatients; a highly reputable Intensive Outpatient Program with tracks for mental health, substance abuse and dual diagnosis; and a Behavioral Health Assessment Center.
Essential Functions:
- Psychiatrist is responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Providing psychotherapy and medication management as appropriate.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, social workers, and primary care physicians.
- Engaging in patient education and offering support to help individuals manage their mental health effectively.
- Staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in psychiatric care.
