Job Summary:
AdventHealth is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Endovascular Neurosurgeon to join our expanding Neurosciences program. Located in Johnson County, KS, a rapidly growing market with four regional hospitals, AdventHealth Kansas City is a premier healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and making significant investments in the future. Our comprehensive Neurosciences program is comprised of experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, and dedicated support staff. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and innovation in healthcare. The ideal candidate will bring robust neurosurgery expertise as well as an endovascular skillset for the treatment of complex neurovascular conditions such as stroke, aneurysms, AVMs, and other cerebrovascular disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team with access to state-of-the-art technology in a tertiary care and comprehensive stroke center environment.
Practice Setting
- Our five-year-old office is located on the Shawnee Mission hospital campus with convenient access to I-35. Our building houses 30 primary care providers, and 21 specialists including 7 neurologists and 4 other neurosurgeons.
- Clinic staffing includes a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA), Registered Nurse (RN), and APP to support your practice and ensure efficient patient care.
- The AdventHealth Shawnee Mission hospital is supported by four Neurosurgeons and six specialized Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), ensuring ample collaborative opportunities and a well-rounded team environment.
- Inpatient Neuro-Hospitalist coverage is available onsite 24/7, providing continuous care and expertise for our patients.
Schedule:
- Allocated block time for surgical procedures and clinic hours, allowing for a balanced and structured workflow.
- Call expectations are 1 in 2 for Endovascular Stroke Intervention and 1 in 4 for Neurosurgery, with additional compensation for extra call duties.
- Thirty days of annual leave are provided, in addition to six recognized holidays, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Neurosurgery.
- Completed fellowship training in Endovascular Neurosurgery
- Eligible for Kansas medical licensure.
- Proficiency in performing neuro-interventional and general neurosurgery procedures.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered, whole-person care.

AHMG Neurosurgeon at Shawnee Mission

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is currently seeking a highly qualified, Board Certified Neurosurgeon to join our expanding Neurosciences program. Located in Johnson County, KS, a rapidly growing market with four regional hospitals, AdventHealth Kansas City is a premier healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and making significant investments in the future. Our comprehensive Neurosciences program is comprised of experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, and dedicated support staff. - AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a 505-bed hospital with the support of four Neurosurgeons and five specialized Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), ensuring ample collaborative opportunities and a well-rounded team environment.
- Inpatient Neuro-Hospitalist coverage is available onsite 24/7, providing continuous care and expertise for our patients.
Schedule
- Allocated block time for surgical procedures and clinic hours, allowing for a balanced and structured workflow.
- Call expectations are 1 in 5, with additional compensation for extra call duties. There is no trauma and call volumes are generally 3 consults per day, 2-3 surgeries per week.
- Thirty days of annual leave are provided, in addition to six recognized holidays, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Additional Information Our state-of-the-art facilities include a recently added Cancer Institute, MRI-guided radiosurgery, Globus robot, multiple intraoperative CT scanners, multiple intraoperative microscopes, and an exoscope. These advanced resources will support your practice and enhance patient outcomes.

Medical Director, Women’s Services
AdventHealth Mid-America Region – Kansas City Area
AdventHealth is seeking an experienced and visionary physician leader to serve as Medical Director of Women’s Services for the Mid-America Region. This individual will lead the strategic development and clinical integration of a comprehensive women’s health program, advancing AdventHealth’s vision to become the destination for women’s care across the region.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a fully integrated continuum of women’s services—expanding access, enhancing quality, and elevating the patient experience for women and families. The Medical Director will play a pivotal role in strengthening system alignment, developing centers of excellence, and building a differentiated women’s health brand. ________________________________________
Role Overview
The Medical Director will:
Lead the strategic growth and performance of women’s services across the Mid-America Region, including multiple hospitals and ambulatory sites.
Partner in a dyad leadership model with the administrative service line leader to drive clinical quality, patient safety, physician engagement, and operational excellence.
Develop and implement a destination women’s health program, including clinical integration, care standardization, and accreditation readiness.
Strengthen referral networks and expand access to care, particularly in underserved and maternal desert communities.
Oversee evidence-based protocols and initiatives that improve outcomes and elevate the patient experience across the continuum of care.
Foster physician alignment and multidisciplinary collaboration across all sites within the region.
Dedicate approximately 20% of time to leadership responsibilities while maintaining an active clinical practice. ________________________________________
