Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical examination, and evaluation of care needs

Breast Medical Oncologist
AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, Kansas City
Located in suburban Kansas City, AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is searching for a dynamic, energetic, and team-oriented fellowship-trained oncologist with a specialized focus in breast cancer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge, patient centered care to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer, while also contributing to general oncology services. We are looking to grow our subspecialty oncology programs in breast, thoracic, GI and GU. Highly qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.
We have six oncologists in our group today and we are continuing to expand, both in specialization and in our new $70 million Cancer Institute located on the Shawnee Mission campus. Our physician team continues to grow around Gyn Oncology, Breast Oncology, Thoracic Oncology, Neuro Oncology, and other surgical oncology specialties. Rotation of call would be shared with the other physicians in the practice, including weekends. New physician would have access to research, clinical trials, tumor boards and a multidisciplinary care team consisting of nurse navigators, dietician, social workers, oncology rehab, palliative medicine, and patient financial navigators.

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Radiation Oncologist to join our dynamic, patient-centered radiation oncology team. The ideal candidate would have a subspecialty interest in breast, gastrointestinal, and central nervous system malignancies, as these will be the primary focus of this position. The new physician should also be comfortable seeing a variety of additional tumor sites as needed. Experience or interest in gynecologic HDR brachytherapy for backup coverage is preferable but not mandatory.
